Hungarian company Corvus Aircraft sets up shop in Lachute

Corvus Aircraft, which specializes in the manufacture of small recreational aircraft made of composites and has a division in the United States, will be moving a number of its operations to Lachute. The company, which is temporarily occupying a hangar at Lachute airport, is planning to build a facility there, where it will set up its R&D centre as well as some of its manufacturing processes and an assembly line for its Corvus CA-41 Racer and Falcon LS aircraft. A number of factors convinced the company to set up shop at Lachute airport, including the availability of labour, and the proximity to Montréal, certain suppliers, and the Centre des matériaux composites de Saint-Jérôme.
